Mediæval Bæbes

Who are the Mediæval Bæbes?

"The Mediæval Bæbes are eight young women who share a passion for music several centuries old but are as 21st century as they come."

What more can I add? Just listen to their music with an open mind and you might just discover that rarest of things, a precious treasure that will delight and challenge you in equal amounts.

Photos

All of the following photos were taken by myself (Geoff) during public events.

2006 July 22th Mediæval Bæbes at the Joust

After one short year has rushed past, with a haste most unbecoming, the cry of a Knight upon horseback heralds the arrival of "Joust" once more. Upon Englands green grass did we sit and partake of a most delightful summer afternoons entertainment...

2006 June 17th Mediæval Bæbes in Carnglaze Caverns, Cornwall, UK

For my third trip in 2006 to see the Bæbes perform 'live' (the first being to Harlow and the second Rochester Cathedral) we embarked on a long weekend break to the beautiful County of Cornwall and a chance to hear the Bæbes perform underground in an slate cavern.

This gig was held in The Run Store, Carnglaze Caverns in St Neot, Cornwall. PH14 6HQ. This is a stunning and unique venue that should be on anyones "Must see" list when they're in Cornwall.

During our long weekend Helen and I stayed at a beautiful B&B in a local village and I can whole-heartedly recommend checking out some of these interesting and often quirky establishments - you never know what delights you might stumble into!

2005 July 30th The Joust, Berkeley Castle, UK

Various images from the Joust mediaeval festival. Held in the grounds of Berkeley Castle this is a celebration of Englands ancient history.

2005 July 30th Mediæval Bæbes at the Joust

After years of being aware of their intriguing their music I finally saw them 'live' in Epsom this summer and was instantly captivated by their musical charms!

To discover that they were performing at the Joust was an opportunity way too good to miss. So down west I went and a despite the rain I had a fantastic time, but more importantly for you this time I brought my camera along for the ride!

Whilst these photos, and the weather they were taken in, fail to do the Bæbes any justice at all I hope you enjoy them.
